San Siro is a municipality in the Province of Como, which is in the Italian region Lombardy, and lies on the western shore of the lake. It is approximately 30km north east of Como with a population of less than 2000.
The larger town of Menaggio is only 5 minutes drive away, which has numerous shops, restaurants and cafes and also a Ferry Station to reach Bellagio, Como town and Varenna.
The pretty antique hamlet of San Siro is where you can still feel the atmosphere of the ancient past and view the beautiful castle, which has arcades dating back to 1000AD. The scenery of the lake, mountains and the beautiful flowers and plants which absolutely thrive here, is something really special. You will find a grocery shop in the village, as well as a pizzeria, a restaurant and bars. On the lakeside there is a lovely pebble beach and of course water sport facilities, including boat hire, sailing, and surfing.
